Eugene Thacker

Most of the projects I’m currently involved in have to do with the relationship between the body and technology. This has been dispersed across a variety media and disciplines, including theoretical writing, work for the Web/Internet, multimedia performance, experimental fiction, and of course sound.

In 1997 I started an organization called [techne], which hosts a series of lectures, projects, and performances dealing with art and technology, often incorporating live video and sound over the Internet.

Other recent performances and collaborations include Fakeshop (New York), “Interfacing Bodies_Mediating Technology” (at Rutgers University), EMRL NoiseFest’97 (California), and the ALT-X Network Installation (on the Web).
